General reporting principles
Within the
°Reporting module, 3 zones have been defined to allow the creation of a reporting model and are visible on the diagram below.
In blue on the diagram, the area A area (
Selection and display area) allows you to navigate through the document, choose the current zone and display the different pages and maps.
In green on the diagram, the area B (
Settings area) allows you to define the titles, configure the graphics or Visualization and determine the precise scope of analysis.
The area C (
Display mode) allows you to choose one of the following three display modes :
Indeed, it is important to note that in the initial mode (formatting display mode), the display does not include the project data but elements allow you to define the layout.
You must switch to the
Preview with project data to see the real pages that will be printed. The button
Export to PDF allows you to start generating the report. The browser window must not be closed otherwise PDF generation will stop. The settings area then disappears to increase the visibility of the full document preview.
It is important to note that reporting generation is not blocking. You can open another tab of your browser while the different pages are being created. At the end of the preparation of the document, we will have the possibility to save the report.pdf document under the desired final name.
ATTENTION
On the other hand, closing the tab causes the reporting generation to be interrupted and the partially generated version can be saved for the document.
