Time is a major dimension because all customer experience parameters change over time: products, locations, human contact points, etc. and period comparison is an easy way to observe the improvement and deterioration dynamics at play mentioned by customers. All this explains why the date is therefore essential information - required for any comment, opinion or verbatim recorded in a project.
By default, the total period of data is preselected in the first display. However, filtering on a specific period is an easy operation thanks to the period selector at the top of the screen (on the right of the project selector). The results and related data are recalculated immediately.
The period selector typically includes a start date and an end date.
By clicking inside the field, a pop-up dialog box opens and proposes to select one of the 5 possible choices to define the period quickly:
- By default, choose a custom period by directly selecting the start date and end date
- In shortcut mode choice of minimum and maximum dates of the complete project (All)
- Or in shortcut mode as well, direct selection of predefined data periods (Year | Quarter | Month)
For the selection of predefined periods, only those periods where data is available are identified and displayed.
When the period is selected, all the data on the page is recalculated accordingly and the comments or information is automatically reloaded over the period considered. There is no need to click on the "Filter" button to start the update.
When you choose the custom mode, you can access a monthly calendar. The boundary to be selected (start or end of period) is highlighted by a green line and the corresponding day appears in dark green in the calendar.
WANT AN ADVICE ?
For the selection of a specific period, it is advisable to pre-select the nearest predefined period and then adjust the date more precisely. For example, over a 14- month period, it is faster to choose the corresponding year and then adjust the 2 or 3 months delay.
